We're Kristie and Mike Bertram, the passionate pair behind Blue Envy Great Danes.

We're located in the Pacific Northwest where our home sits on 2 ½ acres of grassy land overlooking the beautiful Columbia River and the picturesque Oregon landscape.

 

Our mission is to raise dogs that are confident, well-adjusted, and loving family companions. We believe that early socialization and sensory stimulation is key to facilitate learning and adaptation to their surroundings, ultimately fostering confidence and calmness that leads to a happy adult life, especially for Giant Breed dogs given their size and strength. Our approach involves regular activities such as walks along our Kalama riverfront, trips to dog-friendly establishments, exploring new woodland trails, and enjoying leisurely visits to our family's lake house where they can play with their 'doggie cousins'.

 

With precision and support from our Great Dane affiliates and friends, our mission is to operate as preservation enthusiasts, focusing on supporting lines that adhere to the AKC Great Dane Conformation Standards, performing rigorous health testing and providing consistent training and socialization.  This commitment extends beyond the present with the aim to leave behind a lasting legacy for future generations.
